Find Massage Jobs owns and runs the job board at findmassagejobs.ca. This page tells you what we collect, why we need it, and who gets to see it.
Who Looks After Your Details
Find Massage Jobs is in charge of the personal details you give this site. Write to hello@findmassagejobs.ca with any question you have about them.
You Do Not Need An Account
You can apply or post a job without an account, and since we never ask you to make a password, we keep no logins.
When You Apply For A Job
You give us your name, your email and your resume, and you can add your phone number and a cover letter if you like.
We use them for one thing only, which is to email them to the clinic you picked so it can reach you, and then we email you to say your application went out.
We do not keep a copy on this site. Your files pass through our server one time on their way to the clinic, and then they are dropped. Our logs show which job got an application and if the email went out, but they leave out your name, your email and your files.
Before you send, you tick a box that says you agree to send your details to the clinic. That box is your consent.
Once the clinic has your application, the clinic decides how to keep it, so ask the clinic if you want to know.
We check your IP address when you apply to stop spam, but we hold it in memory for a short time and never save it.
When You Sign Up For Job Alerts
You give us your email, and you can also pick a province, a job type and how often you want us to write to you with new jobs.
Our email service keeps your email and your choices so it can send you the alerts.
We use your email only to send you the new jobs you asked for, and each alert email has a link to stop them. When you stop them, we delete your email.
When A Clinic Posts A Job
A clinic tells us the job title, the clinic name and type, the city, the job type and the schedule, and it writes a job description. It can also add the treatments it offers and say if it does direct billing.
The clinic gives us one email that gets the applications and a second email for the receipt.
The rest goes on the public job page. We keep the email for applications off the page and use it to send each application to the clinic.
Each post is public. We add the job details to the page in a form that search engines use for their job listings.
You pay on a Stripe page. Stripe takes your card details, so we never see your card number, and Stripe gets your receipt email too.
Who Gets Your Details
The clinic you apply to gets your application.
These companies help us run the site:
- Resend sends our emails.
- Stripe takes payments.
- Vercel hosts the site.
- GitHub stores our list of jobs.
Our host and our email service store your details in the United States. Our payment service and the service that stores our job list may store your details outside Canada.
We never sell your details. We share them only in the ways this page sets out, with the clinic you pick and the companies above.
Links To Other Sites
A few jobs send you to the clinic's own site to apply, and once you leave our site, the clinic's own privacy rules cover what you share there.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. It uses no tracking tools either. The Stripe payment page is run by Stripe, so Stripe's own privacy policy covers anything that happens on that page.
How We Keep Your Details Safe
We keep very little about you. We never store your resume, and Stripe handles every card.
Each link to stop alerts is signed, so no one can guess it and take you off the list.
No website is ever fully safe. If a breach puts your details at risk, we will tell you when the law says we must.
How Long We Keep Things
We keep no applications.
We keep your alert email until you stop the alerts, and then we delete it.
Posts come down when they end. We delete old posts 15 days after they end.
Stripe holds the payment records. We keep the order number with each post.
Children
This site is for adults. It is meant for people who work in massage therapy, and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
Your Rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, and we will fix it if it is wrong or delete it if you want it gone. Taking back your consent is your right too.
If you take back your consent for job alerts, we stop them and delete your email. We cannot pull back an application once it has gone to a clinic, so ask that clinic to delete it.
To ask, write to hello@findmassagejobs.ca. We will reply within 3 business days.
If you do not like our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes To This Page
If we change this page, we will post the new one here and change the date at the top.
